About us

Our Story — catzoa.com

Two cats.
One home.

One bought from a roadside stall. One pulled from a storm drain on a freezing night. Same roof. Same love. Same standard.

The one I bought

Koko —

the quiet one

Birth: 2023.03.25

That evening I only went out to buy a bag of cat food. I was heading straight home — until I wasn’t.

A roadside vendor had a plastic crate with a few kittens inside. In the corner sat a silver-grey cat, tucked tight, wearing an expression that said, I’m not sure how I ended up here either. The vendor didn’t look up.

I reached in. She didn’t flinch. Not because she was bold — because she was too calm. The kind of calm that comes from being picked up and put down too many times.

“Cheap. Just take her.”

Back home she stood at the door and just looked at me. I later understood that look: Is this place going to stay this way?

The one I rescued

Shiba —

the fighter

Birth: 2025.11.18

The night I found him was colder. Cold enough that your breath hung in the air and refused to move on.

Walking down a side street, I heard a cry — not a soft meow. A sound with desperation in it. Small, hoarse, insistent. Through the gap of a storm drain, a pair of eyes caught the light.

Inside was a tabby kitten, soaked through, voice gone ragged — but still calling out. Still trying.

He grabbed my hand. Not a gentle tap — he gripped, the way you grip something when it’s the last thing between you and the dark.

I brought him home, dried him off, and named him Shiba. A cat who’d survived that much deserved a name that sounded like he’d be around for a long, long time.

Why CatZoa

They trust you without auditing you. Which means you have no excuse not to earn it.

CatZoa began with a broken feather wand. Most feathers gone, the rod bent. I kept meaning to replace it — never did. One afternoon I watched them chase it anyway, both fully committed, like it was the best thing in the room.

They don’t know it could be better. They just throw themselves at it completely, trusting that what we give them is worth trusting.

CatZoa is the answer to that trust. Not a business plan. A debt.
